Christmas delivery FAIL

I always shop at my local stores since my daughter is an avid skateboarder and she loves the clothes, accessories, etc. I recently purchased a Duster skateboard for her, something she has been wanting for a very long time, through the online store. I opted for the guaranteed December 24 delivery date, since I could not make it out to the store in time due to my schedule and the fact they only had 1 left. I ordered in plenty of time (Dec 18). On December 22, I received an update from UPS stating it would be delivered on December 29. I called customer service and the first person I spoke to, after a 28 minute wait (who has that kind of time nowadays?) said that it would be delivered by Dec 24, and it was UPS that had not updated their status. I contacted UPS and received no response. I continued to check the UPS tracking and it changed the delivery time to December 30. I called customer service yet again, and after 35 minutes on hold, I hung up. I received another update from UPS and it said it would be delivered Dec 29. I called customer service AGAIN, was on hold for 28 more minutes and spoke to a very pleasant young man, Samuel Lopez, who brought it up to his supervisor, and was informed that yes, it would be delivered on Dec 24, because there is something in place with UPS to guarantee this delivery, but if it was not, I was to email him personally. Well, it is 7:30 pm on December 24 and the UPS tracking info still says it will be delivered December 29. I do not think my daughter will open this gift Christmas Day and I will now have to tell her to wait. I am very disappointed in Zumiez for guaranteeing something they could not deliver on.

Could it be UPS? And if they have a guarantee, shouldn't they give you something for not being able to keep to their promise?

i know Amazon would.

The website doesn't *** discounts, it won't let you enter more than 1 gift card. I call customer service, they place my order but then say they don't accept gift cards over the phone. I would have to go to the store within 48 hrs to pay for the item then return to pick it up at the store one it's shipped there. What a hassle! ! A few months before this, I was in the store and an associate told me that everything in the store was buy one get one 50% off. When I went to pay, the cashier said no only certain items. I asked the girl that worked there in front of the cashier and manager why she said that and she said sorry, she told me the wrong info. That's not my problem. The manager didn't honor any discount knowing his employee told me the wrong info. This store needs help on how to run a business! !!!

Lw0599 worst zumiez employee ever the cashier cj0633 was great

the sales person was very un professional with lots of tattoos and face peircings she was very rude when I was talking about hunting with my son and went on and on about being vegan and that animals should not be killed then went on to say I was a bad person for hunting . I then spoke one word of going to a bar and she the fact that she had been sober for x amount of years and was very judgemental of my life choices and actions. she knew nothing of the products in their store and couldn't even tell me the differences between two longboards needless to say this was a terrible experience and will most likely never be coming back to this location again it was ridiculous this company needs to keep a close eye on there employees that act like lw0599 and cj0633 I feel bad you have to put up with this psycho all day

Basically to start off I have to say, I will NEVER be buying from Zumiez ever again. First of all I tried to order online, said it wouldn't take my card. Had to call to put in an order. Kind of annoying, but whatever. Immediately after putting in the order I check my online bank statement just because I'm careful. Come to find out, my $192 purchase somehow turned into a $1000 purchase? They charged me $192 five times. Immediately called back, they told me the extra charges would "fall off." (Thank god I had already paid my bills for the month). Waited two weeks and charges finally fell off. Recieved items, a couple were too small so I decided I'd send them back for larger sizes. First of all, they don't send a shipping sticker so you have to pay for shipping back. Did it anyways, didn't get any confirmation from them until a week after tracking number said my exchange was at the facility. Then suddenly, a charge for 39.93 shows up on my card from them. I call, they tell me it's the way their website works, they refund then recharge... Well I never got the refund, only the charge. A week later, still no refund only the charge. And on top of that, my exchanges still aren't here. I paid twice for things I haven't recieved. Zumiez is terrible. And every customer service agent I've spoken to has no clue what they are talking about. Done with this company.

Security Review

To the mall: I went his Saturday to the mall for Steven Fernandez and I didn't get a band because the security and the cops let the people in the back cut in front and they moved the people in the front move all the way to the back and that isn't fair and they didn't even care what that were doing I have been there for eight hours straight and this is what I get .

Horrible employees

While shopping at the ZUMIEZ in the topanga mall in ca. along with other shoppers(kids included)many of the employees had an interesting loud conversation using the words like *** *** *** and saying things like *** for dumb ,don't get me wrong I say this all the time but not at work or deffinently not around children also when asking for help one employee would just roll their eyes and take a hard deep breath as if they didn't want to deal with me at all,this isn't even the first time I've gotten horrible service from employees there,the worst part was that I didn't even find anything at that *** store!

Bought a pair of shoes in store, had to return them, because the person who they were for couldn't use them. when buying them, the "supervisor" i guess he is, was rude and all over the place. he took like 10 minutes to check our items out, and just seemed distant like we didn't matter. as it happens, he was there when we returned them! Lord, the faces, and the shaddy eyes! He seemed annoyed, as if we returned stuff there all the time (first time buying actually, not thinking about buying there again!) Odd thing is, i bought them with a debit card, and it was past 30 days, so i read their terms on that, and he wasn't supposed to return anything to my card. But he did, apparently. however, nothing has showed up on my bank from them. No refund or anything. blows, doesn't it? i wonder what happened to that money...

This was the 1st experience trying to purchase from the Zumiez website. I consider myself to be very computer literate and because I hate malls & crowds I do all of my shopping online. I have to say that this website is sucks at navigating. When I finally figured out how to checkout after having to edit the billing & shipping 3x since I was buying a gift for someone and site kept default setting the shipping address back to my own address. I finally got to the last step to enter my credit card info, and to my surprise & more irriation the pull down box to enter the month of the card expiration- stops at September- and as my luck would have it, my card expires in October-WTF, right? So I try to call the toll free customer service number, and all the recording said that they were currently closed and to try calling back later- without leaving the hours of operation. I am now officially irriated with this company and changed my mind about placing that current or any other future orders from this company!!!!!

I bought some things at a zumiez store in gurnee il there is a lady there she was being rude because I wanted to return some pants she kept asking me if I wanted to exchange for something else and I kept telling her I wanted my money back . And after the 5th time . Her manager made a scene inspecting the pants for like 10 mins while the cashier made angry faces at me . The manager asked Me "HAVE YOU EVER WORKED RETAIL? NO? OKAY HE DOESN'T UNDERSTAND JUST GIVE HIM HIS MONEY BACK " . Wtf they are *** most of them are rude will never go back to that store . I hope you see this review ***! Ahahahahaahah . Idgaf ***

Me and my gf were killing time on her lunch break and we walked in to zumiez mission valley. We were just browsing the store like any other person does and there was a lady behind the cash wrap and she asked me what I was looking for and she apparently got mad because I couldn't answer her question with a specific item. I thanked her and she commented in a very rude tone.."OH DONT WORRY, WE ARE STILL GETTING PAID REGARDLESS OF YOU BUYING SOMETHING OR NOT..I AM JUST FIGURING OUT WHY YOU ARE WANDERING AROUND OUR SHOP. My gf and I felt so unwelcome at that point that it was so awkward to be in the store anymore and she was actually going to buy a Nixon watch that they had in the front. I didn't get the lady/girls name but I know she had tattoos on her arms and back. I had never been treated this way in any store like this one.

Return policy and Rudness

I purchased two items at Zumiez on a black Friday,there was a buy 1 get one half off deal.After purchasing it I decided to return it because I felt 36 dollars for 2 shirts was expensive.When I purchased these items I purchased with cash and no one asked for any information.But when returned they said they needed some sort of goverment ID.I asked why and the cashier said"look it up yourself and something about preventing scammers" telling us that it was a law in our state.This surprised me because as a teen I have returned many items and have never needed any sort of ID .Luckily my cousin has her Linsence.I felt disrespected and disgusted at this behavior.The store itself I am not a huge fan of due to its disorganization.

Presenting a photo or government ID is not required by law but it is required by Zumiez company policy to give any type of exchange or refund. There are sometimes exceptions at the discretion of a store manager. If you are looking for an exchange or refund from any type of store, it's best if you read the return policy usually printed at the bottom or back of your receipt.

I got 2 pairs of shoes buy one get on free, total was $64...ended up not having the second pair of shoes I wanted, so I only got one pair. They didn't charge me full price for the Etnies, but 15 days later and I still didn't have the shoes.

So I called and they say the ended up losing the package in Kansas City. They offered to ship me a new pair of shoes, which I didn't want.

I wanted the Etnies and Supra. They said they had both in stock, received NOTHING.

Im no longer supporting Zumiez and will spread the word.

Gift Card Review

Purchased a gift card online on 12/17/14 and have yet to get it. Today is 1/27/15. Repeated attempts to have my purchase delivered as promised have been in vain. They have a million excuses. Horrible company .

Over-charged my credit card!

Do not ever order anything online from Zumiez! Last week, I ordered three shirts on their website.

They charged me the original amount at that time. I noticed that additional funds were holding on my credit card..an additional $100 was pending! I called customer service and they said that since two of my items came from different stores, those stores charge you as well but it will drop off eventually!? I have never had a store do that.

What if that extra $100 was not available? What if I needed that money to pay a bill? Do not order online from this company. They should only charge you the amount of your purchase and handle those issues at their expense and not at the expense of the consumer.

Terrible! I will never order anything from them again!

My son purchased some shoes from the website and when I checked my statement I found I was charged $178.76 and a international transaction fee ( I am in Australia)of $5.36. None of this was stated on their website!

The purchase price on my invoice is $144.90!!!!

I don't think this is legal as the invoice is a legal document! We will NEVER purchase from then EVER again!

Over a month ago, I was searching the internet for a pair of Von Zipper Comsat Sunglasses. I found one site had them for $20 less than the rest of the sites, and that was Zumiez.com.

While I was on the site I noticed that they had a "buy 1, get 1 50% off" deal on jeans. So I found two pair of jeans that I am very familiar with, one I was really excited about, they were the RVCA Chevy's.

In about a week or so, I received my packages from Zumiez. I had spent nearly $200 on their site mind you. The first thing I did was opened my Von Zipper Comsat Sunglasses. I was disappointed to find out that in the Comsat box, was a pair of Deccos (another, cheaper style of Von Zipper). I took pictures for proof, and sent them back to the company.

I immediately put the jeans in the wash with my colors as I planned on wearing the RVCA Chevy's later that night. Guess what? When I took my clothes out, I found out that they never sent me RVCA Chevy's. They sent me RVCA Regulars. A similar style, just a tad thinner, and NO stretch like the Chevy's have.

I contacted the site, I contacted Paypal....guess what? Paypal told me to send the sunglasses back, and they would refund my accont once I posted the tracking number. NOPE. I NEVER received the $85 refund for the sunglasses, and since I washed the jeans, I lost that case too.

Meanwhile, they were'nt even nice about it. They were one of the nastiest companies I ever dealt with.

STAY FAR AWAY FROM ZUMIEZ.COM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If zumies sent me the wrong stuff in my package with the invoice of what i actually ordered and i called and had them send what i actually orderd and i received it do i have to return the wrong items they sent me on their mistake

The easiest way to have had that taken care of would be to have taken them to a store. Zumiez fulfills its online orders through its stores and they go by SKUs and photos. It's very easy to mix up items that look almost exactly the same.

Zumiez shipping services is horrible... I tracked my package that was ordered on 9/2 when I received the first notice that it shipped. The original arrival date was 9/4 then changed to 9/5 now its 9/11. Very disappointed in customercare not knowing how to handle this call, not taking accountability that something was screwed up, not willing to look into this at first to help me out, throwing the 3-10 business days policy at me for free shipment making it seem like it was my fault since I picked free shipment and then to see the shipment tracking date was moved out to 9/11. Great service... lost a customer....

I usually receive my packages in 4-5 days with free shipping, maybe they had a lot of orders going out at the time.
